It is the mission of The School of Evansville Ballet to bring world class training with an emphasis on clean technique and superior artistry to the Greater Evansville and Tri-State area.
Evansville Ballet believes in nurturing the development of the artist by instilling a strong foundation and working knowledge of the technique, maintaining an exceptional work ethic, building bridges with the dance community at large through fostering working relationships with guest artists, and by presenting the student artist with high caliber performing opportunities.
I just wanted to take a quick moment and thank Evansville Ballet, Mr. Bush and the rest of the staff for the time and effort they put in for their students. I am not an Evansville native and had very little knowledge of the different ballet schools in the area. After asking several friends and co-workers the same name began to come up continually when ballet was mentioned. I heard things like “Evansville Ballet makes beautiful ballerinas”, “Mr. Bush teaches his students to take ballet technique seriously, while still showing them how fun it can be”, and “Evansville Ballet takes it to the next level”. Payton has now been with EB for 4 years and I would have never dreamed of the improvements we have witnessed in this time. Her love of dance is evident in everything she does and it is clear that the school of Evansville Ballet promotes the emotional and artistic aspects of ballet. This is not only a dance school, it’s a family. Again, thank you for the dedication, professionalism, passion and enthusiasm you show the students and parents every time we walk into the studio. This kind of training is something that will last the kids a lifetime and has the potential to make their dreams come true. -Staci Leystra, Mom to Payton Burgener
